Product Description

This is our most powerful wall charger yet. Plug the cable supplied with your device into one of five USB sockets, and it will charge at maximum speed.

This charger has been tested working with the iPhone 5S, the latest iPad, and many other devices, so if you have bought a cheaper charger and found it does not work or is slow, this will solve your problem.

5 USB sockets

Charges 3 tablets at high speed, 5 smartphones or other devices at maximum speed, or any combination in between. In the unlikely event the charger is overloaded it will blink on/off to let you know. Works with almost any device which charges from a USB socket including all the latest iPhones, iPads, Android tablets, smartphones, satnavs.

5000mA (25W) Power Output

More than double the power of a typical 2A charger. In plain English - charge more gadgets at the same time and at a faster rate. Its still backwards compatible with devices which charge at a lower current, the PortaPow will not charge your devices any faster than they were designed for. All 5 Amps are available from one USB socket if your device supports it.

Wide compatibility

1x Specialised 'iPad Fast' socket uses the same 2.4A spec as the charger supplied with the latest iPads and 20% faster than a standard 2A charger. Also charges all iPhones and most iPods, non-Apple products may charge at a reduced speed.

1x 'Samsung Galaxy Tab / Note' USB socket will charge these devices using your original cable, non Samsung cables may charge at a reduced speed.

3x Universal USB sockets charge almost any USB charging device at high/max speed.

1 metre extension

Most gadgets comes with a short USB cable, making it difficult to use them while they're charging. So we've designed this charger with a 1 metre extension from the mains socket, and USB sockets which each have their own cable rather than being built into one unit. This makes it easy to connect/disconnect your cables, and gives extra flexibility in where you place the charger. You can even detach the USB sockets from the main unit using the velcro fastener to give an extra 20cm extension.

Figure of 8 power lead

The charger uses a standard figure of 8 lead (also known as C7), as used on many laptop chargers and other products. So when you're going abroad simply disconnect the power lead you're using at home and take the one used by the country you're travelling to. Or if you need a longer lead, simply buy the length you need to replace the lead provided. One power lead is included, extra power leads available separately from most electronics retailers.

The charger has short circuit protection, and it will switch to trickle charge once your device's battery is full. 'No Frills' design gives great performance at a great price.

  1. So good I bought two!

Posted by Marc on 4th May 2016

    I have one at home for my phone, iPad, etc;
I found it so good I bought a second for my car club to use at shows to allow members to charge their devices.

  2. Only usable for one Ipad and one phone

Posted by Unknown on 2nd Dec 2015

The PortaPow PowerStar USB Mains Charger seems to be abort 80 deg C while charging two Ipad and it smell a bit of hot electronics.
I have measured the charging current to 2 A for each Ipad.
I don't exceed the 5 amp limit for the charger.
The LED is constant green so the protection circuit in the charger don't trigger.
I will not recommend drawing over 3A current from the charger.
The charger is perfect for one Ipad and one normal phone simultaneous.

  3. Fast charging

Posted by Bob Kely on 20th Sep 2015

I bought this because of it's ability to charge up to 5 items. Iphones charge very quick. Samsung slower( Samsung problem). It works really well I would recommend you buy one

  4. Generic connections best

Posted by Peter on 15th Aug 2015

The generic connectors works perfectly with all my devices. My iPad Air won't charge at all in the iPad connector which makes wonder what the pupose is. iPhones seem to charge though. Same with the Galaxy connector, doesn't charge my Galaxy Tab S.

  5. Great charger

Posted by Dom on 7th Aug 2015

Brilliant charger, really does charge several devices simultaneously at top speed, can't fault it for that.
The only issue I've noticed is that when devices are fully charged and still plugs in the charger seems to emit a slight coil whine. Most people probably wouldn't notice though, and it doesn't affect performance. Great bit of kit.

  6. Just get one!

Posted by William Richards on 19th Jul 2015

Great product, so handy to take with you on your travels. Really useful that you can use different power leads (I travel between NL and UK a lot), so it's easy to plug the power unit in in different countries.

  7. Does what it says on the tin

Posted by Nigel Barker on 3rd Jul 2015

Exactly as specified, it is a bit untidy on the desk but a great way to charge 5 devices at the same time. Been well behaved. Fast charge for ipad/iphone works really well too.

  8. Very Reliable

Posted by Kevin on 11th Jun 2015

Bought my first one about 8 months ago and have used it every day to charge all my families phones and tablets. I've just bought three more for pure indulgence and convenience.
They are a truly excellent product at a great price, I would recommend them to anyone, without reservation or hesitation.

  9. Quick and easy

Posted by Unknown on 14th May 2015

Fast charger, and has many outputs for you to choose from depending on your device. Has a length that just fits to your table top.

  10. One to charge them all!

Posted by Kent Oldhøj on 18th Mar 2015

Finally a charger that can actually charger whatever gadgets I connect to it... simultaneous.

I wish the different USB connectors where easier to distinguish (colour coded?) but I've made my own DIY workaround, and it's really not a big deal.

Charges an iPad, Nexus 7(2012), LG G2, Limefuel powerbank and a Moto E without breaking a sweat.

A total of around 8A. I used to have multiple chargers around the house to do that.
